Greenfield in the light of “Golden Sofit”
Greenfield will become an official tea of “Golden Sofit”, the highest theatrical award of St.Petersburg, which takes place on December 3 at the The A. Bryantsev Youth Theatre.
This year the “Golden Sofit” lights for the 18th time. The annual ceremony was first held in 1995. It awards main theatre workers for their brilliant work and achievements in different theatrical fields (drama, music, puppet show). Only premieres of the year are nominated. In different years Alisa Freindlich, Igor Dmitriev, Nina Urgant, Lev Dodin, Oleg Basilashvili, Valery Fokin, Igor Sclar were awarded. It is already known that this year winners of the “Golden Sofit” for “creative longevity and unique contribution to the theatrical culture of St.Petersburg” are Irina Bogacheva, a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre and Veniamin Filshtinsky, professor of the Russian University of Theatre Arts. The traditional George Alexandrovich Tovstonogov award for “outstanding contribution to the development of theatrical art” is given to Vladimir Spivakov, artistic director and main conductor of the National Philharmonic of Russia and the "Moscow Virtuosi" Chamber Orchestra.
